The King of Mercia Tourist frame is the most popular model in our range of custom built touring frames. Built with Reynolds '631' Touring tubing to support rider and luggage.
Finely filed spearpoint lugs with neat heart-shaped cut-outs, all hand brazed and finished to exacting standards.
The forks are built with English oval blades fitted to a Romani semi-sloping crown. The availability of quality cantilever brakes, set against the excellent braking quality of modern dual pivot brakes, guides us to build with clearance for 47mm / 57mm brakes which gives clearance for mudguards with many brands up to 32mm tyres. If wider tyres are preferred we can accommodate these with a wide fork crown and cranked chainstays to give provision for "V" brakes or cantilever brakes.
Top quality investment cast lugs, fork crowns and bracket shells can be used at extra cost to further enhance the quality and durability of this quality frame.
